ACCIDENT INJURY PLAN

In the event of an accident, injury, fire, or other incident on the jobsite. The event will be properly documented and investigated to better understand the reason for this incident.

FIRE

In the event of a fire, evacuate all personnel from the jobsite immediately. Have one of the first
people evacuated call 911 and state your location and the extent of the fire. Do not attempt to
extinguish the fire because this could lead to more fire or injuries from personnel. Also,
Professor Hosey and Farrow will be contacted to know about the situation. Once the fire has
ceased, the event will be investigated and documented.

SEVERE MEDICAL INJURY/SICKNESS

In the event of a severe injury on the jobsite, the person is not to be moved unless a serious risk
is known that could compromise the health of that person more. Medical response will be
provided to the extent of the injury and the nearest hospital is shown on the last page to either
take the personnel there if they are in a state where they can be moved safely or 911 is called to
have an ambulance arrive and assist. Professor Hosey and Farrow will be contacted as soon as
possible as well. Once the injury is in a safe state, the foreman will undergo an incident
investigation to correct and prevent future hazards.

NON SERIOUS INJURY/ILLNESS

In the event of a non-serious medical injury or sickness, the person will first be treated with the
on-site first aid kit, then evaluated by the foreman to decide if they should return to work or not.
The worker will also have a say in whether they are comfortable with returning to work or not.

RECORD KEEPING

A full investigation will undergo in the event of a fire, structural failure, illness, or injury.
The
foreman will figure out the cause and fix the hazard or inform the employees of similar hazards in
the future. This report will be completed within 24 hours of the incident. The following will
logged on the OSHA 300 log:
•          Fatality or occupational illness (diagnosed)
•          1 or more lost work day
•          Transfer to another job
•          Termination of employment
•          Medical treatment, other than normal 1st aid
•          Job restrictions
•          Restriction of motion
